New Again

It's been an embarrassingly long time since I did a thorough clean of my dollhouse. I've done a bit of spot cleaning on the most delicate pieces- I've kept the silver semi-polished, oiled a few of the artisan pieces, but overall it was looking really dusty. The floors were the worst- they looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a hundred years...
But not any more! I finished up yesterday, and it's amazing what a difference it made. I want to rearrange a few of the rooms, but just getting the dust out, the wood oiled, and the silver shining made an enormous difference.

  2. The square piano is amazing - did you make it yourself, or was it made for you? I've been looking for one for ages!

  3. Gezellige ruimte. Ik heb hetzelfde behang in de hal van mijn poppenhuis :)

  4. Latchkey and Jonquil - The piano was made by Mel Prescott. I got it from a shop (now closed) that bought and resold miniature collections, so I'd guess it was made in the eighties/early nineties. I've seen similar instruments from Mel Prescott on eBay a few times. Good luck with your search!

  5. Don't know why I never came across your blog before. On Elga's blog your's caught my eye, because it mentions cleaning. I've been meaning to do just that for ages...

Love the scene with the piano!

  8. It's amazing how much dust these little properties collect - just a shame it's real size dust! It's also a good time to remind yourself what you have in these rooms and you have some lovely things.
