Maids Misbehaving

The other night, I placed an order for a new little project. Hopefully it will arrive soon, but until then, I thought I'd share this funny maid Mom made last year. For some reason, I keep thinking I've already shown her on the blog, but I can't find any evidence of a post! Mom sold her at the Sturbridge show last year.   Her hat (or rather her employer's hat) was made by Nancy Manders. The hat is a little washed out in the photos, but it was a very pretty shade of pale pink, and quite elaborate.
Here's the full length view. Very few of Mom's servants are good employees. They're always sneaking off to read or napping on the folded laundry.  Even when they try to work, there's usually a cat or two getting in the way!

I had to giggle a little at the maid sleeping while doing the laundry and the sweet kitties.
